What is Meta Description?
Meta description is extremely important for your website/page.Well,It does not give any benefits to search engine rankings but very important in gaining user click through from search engine results pages.As a webmaster you really need to advertise your content so that you can get maximum number of click through from SERPs.
There are few things you keep in mind while writing Meta Description?
- Also,You should use keywords in your meta description and write compelling description that a searcher wants .
- You must not trick users Write what you have on your website in Meta Description.
- you should write meta description according to the content of the pages.

Well,You can write Meta description of any length but if you write more than 160 characters than search engines truncate that.So,the reasonable size is between 155-160 characters.
Does it affect My Ranking?
No,It will not.Google officially announced that there is neither meta description nor meta keywords in Google’s ranking algorithm.
